How Collective Shout has Effected Artists and Caused Fear About Censorship

While we think it's a noble thing giving voice's to women at Cozy Critters Society it isn't right to attack creators that are apart of the LGBTQ community. We've predominantly seen an unusual amount of targeting LGBTQ game developers.

In our own opinion we think we should reserve our right to self regulate what we buy instead of needing an organization/government to do the regulations for us. Yes denying payment processing for anything illegal is the correct thing to do and that should be where it stops. Purchasing anything else should be allowed. Down below are the opinions and thoughts from artists that were interviewed. We won't be revealing the names of the artists as we wish to protect them from harassment. Statements and opinions from the artists will be in bold

I would say overall, the acts of collective shout are negative and selfish, and does nothing to actually protect kids or anything of the sort. Kids will always find a way to get content they aren't suppose to, and by broad-brushing the rules, you are collectively (pun intended) and essentially taking away the rights of other adults who did nothing wrong. It is a matter of freedom, your money should be used to get anything you want, so long as its NOT illegal, hurting others, etc. As an artist, I feel these regulations are damaging, and will hurt many artists in the future. Sex work is already targeted far more than furry art and stuff. So its only natural we are next.

We too feel that it's only a matter of time until collective shout and any other nonprofit they got on their side will turn their eyes to the furry community and figure out how they can push payment processors and any other financial support tool away from them.

Collective Shout is a fascist organization that, like literally every other right-wing organization in existence, is obsessed with censoring the internet and other media to ensure that they meet some "purity" standards that fascism is so obsessed with. While I personally have not been affected and I don't think it was particularly noble that rape and incest games have been removed, you best believe it's not going to stop at just that. The part where a group that's loud enough can sway equally right-wing CEOs into pressuring stores into censoring media is unbelievably alarming for the other things that the right considers "impure." Up next is queer games such as Super Lesbian Animal RPG and Kitsune Tails, I just know it.

It's another form of assuming control over the minds of creators and inventors who arguably run the highest risk of making people question the authority and rule of those in positions of power. It's never about money or keeping vulnerable minds safe, it always boils down to maintaining power and control of whatever they want reality to be for everyone at the end of the day

"Censorship is like being forbidden to eat a steak because an infant can't chew it"

That's just my take on it though, it's arguably unsure to pinpoint their exact motivation for this action (maybe it really is just for money) but it's easy to assume that it's for the reasons that I just presented

It saddens us here at Cozy Critters Society that artists need to fear about their art being taken down and them not being able to make money from their hobbies. Some even make art for their full time job and if they can't get paid for it they can't pay rent or buy food for themselves.
